CoRe 2020 - FoodCycle
FoodCycle’s mission is to nourish communities using surplus food. FoodCycle provide a free, healthy meal for vulnerable people at risk of food poverty and social isolation. Everyone is welcome – no questions asked – ensuring they reach a broad range of people, from low-income families to the elderly, people living alone and the homeless. Many of their guests suffer from multiple challenges, including physical and mental health issues.
CoRe 2020 - MMARAP
MMARAP (Mixed Martial Arts for Reform and Progression) delivers programmes which teach boxing, karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) to young people aged six and upwards in London. The organisation delivers its programmes to deaf, blind, disabled, disadvantaged and non-disabled individuals and groups. They provide training and mentoring to assist with their students’ development and encourage empowerment through short and longer-term programmes.
CoRe 2019 - Elizabeth House
The Elizabeth House Community Centre is a modern, warm, welcoming Community Centre in Highbury West Ward. It is open to the local community and is used for everything from leisure classes and education, to after school activities, holiday playscheme and youth groups. CoRe 2018 - The Parent House
The Parent House is a charity set up to enable parents and carers of children to enter employment and enhance their qualifications, knowledge and well-being. The Parent House has training, computer and communal rooms, a crèche, and a community garden. Services include bespoke support for parents and carers, 1-1 mentoring, free workshops and accredited training for individuals to deliver support in their local communities. CoRe 2018 - The Elfrida Society
The Elfrida Society works directly with people with learning disabilities to build connections and help make their lives happier and more fulfilling. They provide support to people of all ages and all experiences of vulnerability, including responding to urgent priority issues as well as holistic work to address underlying needs. Services offered include advocacy, campaigning, consultation, volunteer befriending, sports, arts and music.

2017 - MEWSo
MEWSo was started in 2010 to address the longer term difficulties faced by victims of prejudice, domestic violence and other trauma. MEWSo brings women together who have experienced similar situations. Its core activities are health related workshops, advice and guidance, counselling in different languages, befriending and networking events. CoRe 2017 - BrightSparks
Bright Sparks, a re-use and recycle organisation, collect unwanted and abandoned furniture and electrical goods. It renovates and sells items through its shops or to new social housing tenants in need. It operates from a large warehouse in north Islington and has extended into two additional London boroughs.
