with BIG Alliance
Macquarie and BIG Alliance develop Islington’s business skills volunteering offering
Macquarie have been instrumental in developing our pro bono skills offering to community partners. From Macquarie’s creation of the CoRe (Community Resourcing) Programme in 2009 which BIG Alliance started managing in 2014 to our sprint consulting sessions, our skills-based volunteering offering to the community continues to go from strength to strength.
Over 300 students supported by Macquarie through our Mentoring Works programme
We have worked with Macquarie Group since our inception to successfully bring ELBA’s Mentoring Works Programme into Islington. Since then the programme has seen 227 Macquarie employees mentor 311 students across secondary schools, colleges and sixth forms in Islington.
Despite the need to halt all face-to-face mentoring sessions during the pandemic, Macquarie’s volunteers have demonstrated their commitment to supporting young people by continuing onto our much needed telephone mentoring programme.

Utilising our expertise in defining community partner need and identifying subsequent corporate engagement opportunities, we have enabled Macquarie’s following internal staff networks to select their perfect charity partnerships which involve volunteering, skills sharing, fundraising and awareness raising:

GVN (Graduate Volunteering Network) with FoodCycle and Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants
