The results are in! BIG Alliance’s impact on Islington community partners in 2022
Written by Jo Cooney - Community Development Project Manager
BIG Alliance have released their annual Community Survey results for 2022, in which community partners have been asked to provide feedback on the work they have done with us, and the support they have received from our business partners.
2022 was a difficult year for many communities in Islington, London and wider around the United Kingdom due to the cost of living crisis. It has had a detrimental impact on our community partners, whilst the need for the services they provide has greatly increased. With this said, volunteer support was needed more than ever to support community partners through this tough period. Already months into 2023 (and no change in the current climate), BIG Alliance are determined more than ever to continue to support community organisations in Islington.
2022 saw BIG Alliance’s highest number of volunteers since establishment in 2012 with 2,162 volunteers engaging and supporting our community partners in Islington, through Team Challenges and skills-based volunteering!
We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our community partners who contributed to the survey. In addition, we would also like to thank the volunteers from our business partners, who helped to build capacity, capabilities and improve sustainability for community organisations.
We are encouraging community organisations to reach out if there is a need for volunteers for particular events and activities for the rest of 2023. If you need any support, please do email us at info@thebigalliance.org.uk.
